This is my Westy "Natty" an 85GL in her former glory...just before I drove her to Alaska and back. My goal is to get her back into the shape you see here.
She is not in bad shape right now and she runs good, just needs some attention to the brakes cooling system and some cosmetic stuff. She was stolen last summer and I still havn't removed all the green spray paint of the fiberglass roof! I will post a current pic sometime later. |

2006?? Does that mean that the "flux capaciter" is holding up then?
What bike rack is that? It resembles a Fiamma, maybe a an older (or possibly one from the future ) version? _________________ Markus

Here's a current photo of the Fleet.
From left to right:
"Shakti" '85 7-pass. Pretty much stock other than the dents from a previous owner who liked to hit things. I got it relatively cheaply due to all of the windows being smashed out. I was told it was due to a marital dispute. Ice cold overhead A/C. Mmmmm...
"Portabella" 82 Mercedes 300SD. The wifes car. Nice car.
"Rocket" 85 7-pass. I used it for a work van. Fitted with an inline-4 ABA bottmend with the big valve head and CIS-E injection/knock sensor ignition. Good hp. Good fuel economy. Cheap engine replacement if necessary.
"Butternut" 83 ASI full camper. It is currently sporting a 1.6TD motor with intercooler, 5-speed transmission (occaisionally sticking in 4th ), Diesel Eberspacher heater. It will soon get it's tranny rebuilt and be fitted with a VNT15 for 18 psi of instant boost.
"Biscotti" 85 Full-Westy. Currently for sale. Very nice inside and out. Cold A/C. Runs great.
Cheers,
Andrew |
