It's going to take a really eccentric and really rich guy to buy that car. That's the risk you run with a wild, off-the-charts custom that's essentially a parade piece for indoor car shows.

Wow I don't know why I never looked at this thread brought back a lot of memories. I remember cruising magnolia in Riverside and hanging out with the club Whiplash and the Pink Whip, Wienerschnitzel was the spot. You would see banana split " if it ain't split it ain't shit" I believe was on his plate frame, sounds of speedy and so on.

Hell yeah. we drove my 62 beryl green all OG on wide whitewalls with a roof rack and cruised Palm Canyon all night spring break 1990 and some one shouted "who do you think you are the Grizwalds?" so stupid lol. Johnny from the German Folks was rolling his primered 23 window on alloys with the wrinkled ass quarter panel. Those were good times right then. Gas was cheap as shit too.

I have a ton more from around that time. I'll have to scan them in but they'll get posted at some point. Very Happy

Haha- Forgot about car phone antennas! Every time I drew a bad-ass car when I was like 5 or 6 ('88-'89), it ALWAYS had a spiral antenna on the back- because car phones were bad ass.

there was a dude name 'Half dead' that used to work at the shell station on 7th street at the victor plaza across the street from carl's jr who had a silver maxima on late 6's lol Jamie Hyder had a light blue Mazda B2000 ob 4.5 earlies on Kleber 135 all the way around when they used to cruise 7th st in Victorville. This had to be around 87 or so.

They are the same kinda wheels in both pics. Chris milled them out with a new design after he changed it up to the burgundy 'Rodbuster' from "The Right Stuff' (blue) ghia

Those aren't early mustang wheels, they are Renault wheels for the Michelin TRX tires, size 190/55/vr365. I know because I had a set, thinking they were 14", they are almost, but just a little bit bigger. You were limited to Michelin TRX tires which were hellishly expensive, and the only tires in that rim size.
total bs

Dang thats interesting! I always wonder why you saw the same damn tire tread on every set lol

These wheels did come off of a Mustang or T-bird from the 80's and do take the TRX tires.

Don't forget about capri, I'm sure you still wear them.

I'm the proud new owner of the pink whip. She is a little ruff but nothing that can't be fixed.
