Ordered some parts 2 days ago, paypal'd the cash and they arrived today in better condition than described, as someone who buys and sells on the internet a lot, I can tell you that Dave is a great seller. Thanks for the parts! He's got a ton of stuff for sale in the Classifieds right now. _________________ Let the haters hate and watch the money pile up......

Me third!
I order a beautiful NOS part, at a very affordable price, then he offer a second identical item, and make me what he call "Smoken" deal vato!
2 days later, I got my stuff! Wish all sellers were as cool as Dave here.

I met him. I was going to buy a Bus 'tach' and speedo. The tach was a POS silk-screen. I declined. Then, when I asked him how much the 'other' tach was he jacked the price up. _________________ "I spud therefore I yam."

I read Davids feedback prior to thinking of buying from him and thought on the whole it looked good and it gave me confidence to proceed.
Initial communication from him was good, but I needed some additional images of specific areas of the bus prior to parting with several thousand $$$$, especially as I was an overseas buyer. There was a delay in getting these to me (due to his busy workload) which was fine, so I offered to pay a deposit to secure the bus in the meantime as I said to him I did not want to miss out on this bus. Dave said this was not necessary and the pictures arrived a few days later. I looked, like what I saw and got back straight away to say yes and confirm the payment details.
David then replied that he had now sold the bus! I have asked for an explanation but not heard anything? Not sure if this is a cultural difference between the UK and the USA, or just the way business in the states is carried out, but I was seriously under-impressed by this, and unfortunately this is not the first time I have been let down by someone in the states! |

I don't know anything about Dave but I did want to comment on your question as to whether this is a cultural issue between the U.S. and the U.K.. I don't know what part of the U.S. Dave is from, but in my neck of the U.S.A. if you tell someone that you will hold an item for them then you are obligated to do so. This is especially true given that the buyer offered to put down a deposit, regardless of fact that the seller said it was not necessary. As I was raised, a man's word is his bond. If Dave said he would hold the bus but then sold it to someone else then he has failed to live up to his word. My guess is that Dave decided that conducting an international transaction would be a bit of a bother so when a domestic buyer showed up he decided that it would be easier for him to just take the offer. While that may have been his thinking it does not make it right. If you are going to sell an item if another buyer shows up with cash in hand then just be honest and state it up front. If you've promised to hold an item, then by God hold it a reasonable period of time no matter who subsequently makes an offer. I'm sorry you had a bad experience and hope that you don't judge us solely on the basis of a few bad apples. |

would not dream of doing that, I've made a few good friends on your side of the pond , so you just need to accept that these things sometimes happen and it is not the end of the world. Like you, I like to keep to my word, or at least be 100% upfront with people from the start!
Strangely enough, I saw that the bus got sold to a UK dealer instead who then sold it it on! |

Class act!
I received the front hood seal. First, thanks for the seal. Great condition! Second, thanks for the great sales price you gave me. Very cool. The front hood seal AND the inside scrapers - both NOS! And in great shape, at a great price. Many thanks, and I look forward to working with you again! |
