I just sent this gauge to North Hollywood Speedometer to have the face changed to match the VW design of the MotoMeter gauges. Right now it has the Porsch face and color. I'll post up pictures when I get it back next month sometime. _________________ "What a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away." Dobee, Dobee, Do |

I'm still waiting for the gauge from North Hollywood Speedometer. They sure are slow this time of year. _________________ "What a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away." Dobee, Dobee, Do |

wouldn't the inside/outside temp gauge be more period correct fo an oval?
I always thought the outside temp only gauges were a 60s item.

You are correct Lind with regard to the Porsche gauge. It is a 60s gauge. I am making a panel up for a friend who wanted that particular gauge but didn't want the indoor outdoor temp gauge. It is not correct but it's his call. _________________ "What a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away." Dobee, Dobee, Do |

Check your information on the '56 one and see if it had a light. I was told that the light was post '57. Your gauge should be stamped with a date as well. _________________ "What a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away." Dobee, Dobee, Do |

Anyone who can identify my newly aquired working MotoMeter Oil temperature gauge ? Of course you can see it's metric as it displays 0-120 degrees Celsius. It has a working sender on a dipstick and It works fine (tested in boiling water)
The wire is about 15,5 feet long, so can not mount it in my bus, but would fit in a bug, even not really correct I suppose.

I double and triple checked, but I didn't see this gas gauge anywhere. Does anyone know anything about this particular gauge? Came in a '57 rag I recently purchased.
There is a red light in the top middle of the gauge that illuminates when the tank goes to reserve. |
