What's the difference between these two listed L360 colors of Sea Blue? I noticed that there are two different PPG color codes; "Sea Blue" PPG# 12333 and "Sea Blue #2" PPG# 12945. When did they change or when was each formula used? What's the shade difference? Was it a factory, paint supplier, or year model change? Thanks for the help - I'm obviously looking to paint my Bus in this color. Question Rolling Eyes

One is for Buses, one is for Bugs/Ghias/Type 3s.

The shade difference is minor, if I remember right.

They overlap in year--to-year usage.

Buses are Sea Blue #2.

There are indeed two color-shades of Sea Blue, L360 #1 and L360 #2. The shop showed us two color chips and the Sea Blue #1 is the right one for T34s, darker and more Blue-Green than the #2 which is lighter and more Blue.

Cool, i never knew that! I have a '65 sea blue bus and a '65 sea blue bug, the latter is undergoing a full resto and I want to get the paint spot on! Cool

If you can post pictures of some of the original paint colors side by side, that would be neat.

Unfortunately when the bus arrived over here it wasn't in its original colours and needed a full resto, the bug is the same only some strange guy in Germany painted it (very badly) in red primer Sad

About the only good paint colour on the bug is the glovebox! I'll get a photo of that compared to my re-painted bus, original paint/colour is much nicer!
