I would like to take advantage of exhaust scavenging by replacing my split header exhaust with a merged header or even a standard '74 style exhaust. The trick is that I have a Thing Shop hitch:

and there isn't much room in there for a header or a muffler.

Has anyone been able to work around the hitch and install something other than a split header design?

Let me revise my question a little:

Has anyone installed an A1 Sidewinder header on their Thing? I searched the photo gallery for "Sidewinder", but I didn't see any Things in there. I would really like a picture of the position of the header in relation to the bumper.

Thanks for any response.

Thanks Pierre.

From the picture, it looks like the Sidewinder hangs out under the bumper a little so it will not work with the hitch unfortunately.

I guess the search continues.
