First of all, this site is incredible! It continues to be such a valuable tool for me to use. I am eternally greatful to you for that!
I was searching the "rants" because I was just curious to see how all this stuff with colin went down. I was looking for the post that made such a stir. I don't know colin and I don't understand the issues that went down, but I certainly agree with everything your moderators have said in their posts. I was just curious to see what this post was that got him in to so much trouble. It all just seems unfortunate. He seemed to be a valuable member of the community. But again, I don't know the whole story. And I don't know that it should matter to me. I use TheSamba as a resource for VW Bus related things. Thats all.
anyway, I hope it all gets resolved in a positive way.
Thanks again for your web site. It really is a wonderful tool for me to use as I renovate my bus.

If a Rant thread does not have a post for seven consecutive days, the Rants forum auto 'prunes' itself and deletes that thread. Sometimes there are three pages of active threads, sometimes one, and it must reach back past Aug. 6 in the currently active threads, the WYHI thread is ages old itself.
Why have the forum auto prune? I would hypothesize that it saves somebody the chore of having to wade through and decide if anything is worth keeping, because so much of it isn't, though Lorse would probably say the GBG thread should have be enshrined! If you see something in there that's of value to you, you'd better save it, because one day it will drop off the active list and get deleted.
