Ok, so it's been 8 years, and about 12 grand...but I'm nearing the finish line. I just have to bolt on the fenders, windshield, hood and such. Get the rear suspension lowered a bit. (My mechanic says that the engine will being the rear end down enough...but that camber looks a little scary to me...what say you's?) Slap my brand new 1915 with Dual 40's in there....pick up some wheels and tires, and I'm Golden.....err..I'm Sour Apple Green with loads of gold flake.

The custom roll cage turned out well..I'll probably get a bikini top made for it.

As soon as I can figure out how to get a picture in this message...I'll show you.

There are instructions for posting a photo HERE. It seems convoluted at first, but takes about thirty seconds once you've done it a couple of times.

That is some interesting camber for an IRS... gives it that "old Dune Buggy" look.

Contrary to popular belief an IRS suspension doesn’t travel in a straight path. (Straight up and down) It has camber changes similar but not as extreme as a swing axles setup.

If you have not messed with the spring plates and left them at the factory setting the rear end will sit normally when you install the engine. If you lowered the rear end so the spring plates are not sitting on the lower stops anymore (with out the engine) your going to get a low-rider effect when the engine is installed.

I guess it all depends if you want to lower your car or not.

Well it looks fantastic. That is one straight tub. Kudos to whoever did the body work.

Well, actually it's been raised quite a bit...front and rear. I'll probably just have someone sit on the back before reinstalling the engine and re-adjust if I still have the positive camber issues...

Looking good Mike! Nice to see the progress.

Have you modified your rear torsion housing or the spring plates? If not, I wouldnt worry too much about the camber problem. As long as you are within the factory limits, it wont be too bad. Once you get the engine in there it should level out.
