Well. . its definitely not the amp Laughing

Its not likely the speakers..
speaker circuits.. maybe still a possibility IF they weren't checked..

It could be a bad condenser or coil..

It could be the alternator doing something funky when it spins and generates.

Remove the belt and test.
And then.. if it continues.. replace condenser first.. then coil.

Be sure to look at the points and make sure everything is in good condition.. Hopefully it has some resistor plug wires or resistor plugs so you can rule them out?

The symptom started with a dead radio.. and continues with other replacement radios.. ..so .... Its not likely a radio problem..

Its the car..

Of all things what we had was a cross feed coming out of the electric fuel pump, which apparently was going bad. In sleuthing this out, I had a spare and took the 10 minutes to swap it out...we've got music.

I have never, ever used a forum and must admit I am very impressed with the community response and appreciate everyones help.

A sincere thanks and does anyone know where I can buy a new Bang Head Here sign?
