It's actually "Fahrvergnugen" with an umlaut (the 2 side by side dots) over the "u" (or you can add an "e" after the "u" for "Fahrvergnuegen").
The ad campaign led to take-offs like "Barelymovin" "F*kinbroken" and "Farfromnu".

(The LEO german-english dictionary is pretty good and one can enter inappropriate words for translation if one is so inclined.)

Found a decal:

PS- I visited Durango when I was a wee lad back in the late 70's. I remember something about a train and an old historic district, I think.
We lived in Denver back when the hockey team was the Rockies, the (minor league) baseball team was the Denver Bears, David Thompson played for the Nuggets and Craig Morton was the Broncos QB.

The Samba is short for umlaut learnin...

Oppps... European Language and Spelling has never been my fort`e. Thanks for the lesson and details. Helpful indeed.

Actually, my wife would kill me if she knew I misspelled Fahrvergnuegen. She was born in Berlin and still has dual citizenship.

Thanks for the ebay link - I have ordered a sticker and all is good now.
