Good idea. I'm guessing you would have to flare both ends, to prevent the line from pulling through the tin in either direction.
Where do you live? I would assume that you will have to trailer it to the dunes anyhow, unless it's street legal, then you can flat tow it. |
you dont have to flare both ends. how ever i did use a flare tool to "clean up" the other end. what i used was a small piece of rubber fuel line and a hose clamp to keep it from comeing through. that way if i ever have to take it out all i got to do is take off the hose clamp and remove. i flared the front mostly so it would sit "flush" on the tin and look clean.
as for towing. it is damn near impossable to make a rail street leagal in washington st. but mine is prety much "dune only" so i just toss it on my trailer and off i go!
another thing about the brake line thing is, you can prety much make it come out wherever you want it to. (to get around stuff) _________________ ^^^KINKY BASTARD^^^ |

Good idea, just putting a hose and clamp on there....
Hey, has SHMO seen your rail? I think there's some copyright infringements with those flames! _________________ The return of the USSR: United States Socialist Republic.

Have any of you guys been to Dumont Dunes? Is there any place there to drive my POS rail? I don't need to jump. I just want to cruise around. I also want to take my XR 400 there. Will I need to buy paddles for either the rail or the bike?
Thanks,
Rob |

if im not mistaken there is nothing wrong with the oil cooler being there. thats where the stock one was. if its so bad then why would it be there on a stock vehical? and also if true one would think that a stock doghouse would just heat up the motor instead of cooling. some one prove me wrong _________________ never forget 1-31-07 |

I relocated the oil coiler higher up already. I wanted it to catch a breeze as I opened up the gas at the dunes and hit a whole 25MPH. HANG ON boys and girls!
I also plan on adding an electric fan. |

Dumont dunes pretty much rules!!! Its usually pretty empty except one the "crazy" weekends: Laborday turkeyday, newyears etc. I wish there was a gas station that wasnt 30 min away tho...It kind of feels like driving in baja CA... |
