My 73 sat for about four weeks until today and ran fine when parked. It is now running on three cylinders (#1 is bad, the plug that is hard to get to Sad ) I have new NGK's and see no reason why this plug apparently went bad. This is the second time in about six months (the other was #4). Timing is fine and carb seems OK. In all my years I have never had plugs go bad, until now. I plan to take it out, clean it and try again. Any thoughts? Confused

Bill, do you have a stock carb setup, or duals?

Everything is stock...except the S&S style exhaust. You think short trips could spoil a plug(s) that fast? I don't have time to take it out yet...perhaps a day or two...and I'll post what I find. Maybe the carb is too rich or lean...seemed to run OK before for three months. New wires too. Bosch. Irritates me, I had hoped to drive it to hunt club Sunday. Evil or Very Mad
