Hello all,

Need some input !

Draw ALL colours for the paint code stickers.

Was there a cut-off regarding curved edges / sharp edges and capital letters / normal letters during the years ?

What about German / English text ?

What I already achieved !

Does anyone remanufacture these with the same shiny background? I can make one on my computer with the same font, I just don't have the correct paper.

Oh! I didn't realize you made them! Awesome. Do you make the ones for the door jamb also? Not the one with the tire pressure/sizes... the one on the driver side with the VIN and build date. Mine is fading badly

Damn,

This one starts with a capital letter Sad

Only option would be working with preorders I guess

Mail me if you want 1 or more - define amount please !

What I need to know:

EXACT text (either German or English)

Round edges or sharp edges
Spaces between either the text - the "L" - the number - the last letter

For example - see photo above:

pastelweiss (with the special B) space L90 space D with round edges

WOW! What a coincidence! I have some of these stickers. I just stumbled across them tonight during moving. I also have some "Oel" stickers.

I'll look tomorrow to see what exactly I have.

As far as I can tell, all color stickers were printed on Silver Foil with black letters, curved corners, and in German text. The early stickers (61-64) were in CAPS, somewhere between 64 and 65 they went to just the First letter Capped. From '70 on, they had no caps at all, nor did they put a space between the "L" and the Number. I'm still not 100% sure of everything and I welcome any corrections. Also found that Pearl White was spelled two different ways; "PERLWEISS L 87" (Pre '64) and "Perweiß L 87" (Post '64). Since I cannot find that many pictures of OEM Color stickers on cars, I do not know the German spelling of the known English Colors.

Here's the List of Color Stickers I know of, mostly listed in chronological order:

Mine was totally missing the sticker. Have compared the colour wherever I could find it in original condition to other VW's of that year and found the best match is Bahama Blue closely followed by Birch Green.

There is a whole plethora of colours made locally for Aussie cars by Balm paints and Dulux that seem to have different paint codes. I am confused by this. Some don't appear to have an equivalent VW code so I don't know what was on the sticker. (See link below).

Wondering, Bert3, if you have plans to add these Australian colours even though they are low volume compared with the European and American delivered cars.
If so I am interested in the Bahama Blue but unfortunately I have no idea what the original sticker looked like.

Club veedub has a list if you're interested.
