Not that it's a big deal, but my odometer quit working a while back. The scuttlebut seems to be that there's a plastic gear inside that breaks. Anyone know where to get one and if it's replaceable?
Thanks. _________________ You get what you get, and you don't throw a fit.

There was a site that explained how to repair the small 11 tooth gear, perhaps someone can remember it. Basically it involved if the gear had slid off the shaft too far you could superglue it, also if it was cracked same deal. Caution not to use too much and clog the odometer. |

No Steve, it was a guy that used to be on Topica a few years back, I want to say Thomas Ainsley or something like that That might not even be the name either. The article showed pictures of how to do it. He had a site with instructions of a number of different mostly electrical procedures. I'am kinda foggy on it. Used to have it on another bleep but it conked out and of course I didn't have it backed up. |

Hm... I'll have to look into that too. I'm sure my trusty steed has many more than 66,701 miles on it. _________________ 1974 Thing -- under the knife
