I am giving some consideration to a Judson supercharger for my '65. It's the "Brundage" car with under 12K miles and has air conditioning. I dont know how the supercharger fits into the engine compartment and I fear it may not fit with the a/c components.
Also, are there any PROS or CONS (especially CONS) one should know about when contemplating a Judson?
Here is what the engine compartment looks like with the huge York-Borg/Warner compressor. (Actually, it is all cleaned up now. And yes, I kept those "ugly" aluminum tubes!)

if you want more horses i would say attaching the missing spark plug wire would be your bets bet. _________________ -- The Backyard Butcher --

The Judson will only work on 36 HP engines and 40 HP engines. The two are not interchangeable. Your 67 has a 40 horse engine? _________________ Never drive faster than your Angel can fly

Oops, I meant to say 65? To run the Judson I do not think that you can use the AC compressor. The Judson's drive pulley has to bolt to the crank pulley and I do not see how that is possible with the AC drive pulley there already. _________________ Never drive faster than your Angel can fly

This particular Judson says it's for a 40 horse engine. My '65 has the original 1200 which is a 40 horse. I dont have a schematic or an illustration to know how they are installed. I figured there probably wasnt a good chance that it would fit on this car because of the A/C (which I dont want to get rid of) but thought I'd ask for input anyway, just in case, before pursuing it further. _________________ -Kent (BaT "daleallen")
