The November issue of Automobile Magazine has a feature on the collectible status of the VW Thing.
Although they claim that the Thing shares a chassis with a pre-68 Microbus (Jigga huh?), it's pretty cool to see them mentioned in a mainstream magazine.
Well, take a gander at it next time you're in the grocery store... |

That's a pretty big deal. You never see The Thing profiled in mainstream magazines. Too bad Basso got a plug along with the legit vendors, though. |

I went to Books-A-Million today to pick up a copy, but they don't sell that particular magazine. A friend of mine thought it might be a subscription-only magazine... If that's the case, how about scanning the article and posting for the rest of us? |

Automobile Magazine is sold at bookstores and news stands (quickly going the way of the dino) throughout the US.
All the major big box bookstores in Asheville sell it, as does Downtown Books and News. |

The "plug" is headed in another direction now in MB's case, thanks to free and open discourse at this site...true to the definition of "forum".....many thanks to Everett & B L.
Nowhere else are we allowed the liberty to bring vendor abuses to the light of day.
Kudos to Everett & B L!!!!! |
