I could use my trunk space for my glass windows. Smaller tire would be nice.

I'm not sure, but you could make one. VW inner hub and donut outer rim.
Maybe just carry a wheel adapter from the wide 5 to whatever size the spare you want to run is.

I have a small spare in my trunk, it's a 15" skinny space saver spare but my bolt pattern is changed to a 5x100.

I use a 165R15 mounted on a Beetle wheel for my spare.

OR you can take it out of the "trunk" with a spare tire carrier. See itsy bitsy photo to the left. How do you get bigger photos of your vehicle with the profile restrictions 100 X 100 pixels?? :?:
