Anyone have a picture of what the original Thing rims look like?

I have 2 with cut outs, and 2 solid.

The ones with cutouts are Bus wheels.

BTW, Thing wheels take the same hubcaps as pre-'66 Beetles.

I love the look of clean rims and stock hubcaps. No aftermarket rim will ever beat the look. And yes, we have 15" empi's on our Thing.

The 73 I have came with 2 bus rims on the front, 2 thing rims on the back and a thing rim for a spare.

So i need one or 2 thing rims eventually myself.

If pre 66 bug hubcaps fit the stock 14" Thing wheels does that mean the slotted trim rings off a pre 66 should fit also ?

I went looking for slotted trim rings for the Thing and found out the same, never made for 14" wheels. What I did find was solid trim rings originally from an early bus in 14" This is what that looks like on my 74
