A big thank you Samba. I sold my thing in a week once it was listed with you, it broke my heart and made cry as it pulled away.

However happy to say I am still aircooled. Went out and bought a 1964 corvair convert. So I am still scrounging around for parts. Shocked

Best of luck to you all. Very Happy

From what I hear, the parts scrounging only gets more "fun" when you go Corvair.

I'd roll one.

Yes, thank you Samba and Z-volks.

I am now the proud new owner of Z-Volk's 1974 Thing. I've owned several beetles in my life (all 1974s), but this is my first Thing.

I've wanted a Thing for as long as I can remember, and I was lucky to find this one in really great condition. After 3 years of driving all across the East coast to look at rusted out junkers I ended up finding this one just a couple of miles away from where I work. Funny how life works sometimes.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to Spring when I can put the top down and enjoy Thing ownership to the fullest!
