Couldn’t I get this section off a 50-67 Rear Apron?

Hmmm, I live in CA so there's not as many VW Junk Yards on this side of the Country. But I'll check it out.
Thanks!

You are in the VW junkyard capitol of the US. I always hit the yards when I am out there. Most east coast VW's, in junkyards, were crushed 20+ years ago do to rot.....

When building my car, I needed spring plates. Simple IRS spring plates. I looked thru every junkyard for 30 miles for a pair. All were rotten. If spring plates were that bad you can imagine the rest of the car. I ended up having to get a pair in cali.

I live in Arizona where rust is rare (unless the car came from back east Very Happy ). We are lucky w/the amount of good used parts around here. Hell, you should move out here, EVERYONE ELSE IS!

Hmm,
There are a few junkyards around where I live, but most of the time there aren’t any VW Bugs there. When I do find VW bugs their usually Supper beetles. Sad
But I’ll Keep my eye’s out for them Smile

There is a great yard in Sacramento. I got my fenders from a yard in Merced. The pick and pull here in Chico always has a few bugs. It is amazing what you find if you just look and ask around.
