Got to the Pomona Show at about 5:15 am yesterday and hudled around someone's barbeque pit (thanks!) to keep from freezing until the sun came up. They had a surprise rainfall overnight, so a lot of the vendors had 'lakefront' property. Filled my backpack full of good deals and headed home, only to find that Everett was there the whole time taking photos. Everett, I must have bumped into you a few times yesterday, but don't know what you look like. Sorry, or I would have thanked you for 'The Samba'. Thanks for the pics of the show and 'see' you next time.

Hi Scott,
I got there about 5:20 am. Damn, it was cold until the sun came up!
I was there until 10:30 or so, although I had to make a few trips back and forth to store parts I had bought.
Maybe next time...
After the show, my wife and I stopped at an antique store outside San Bernardino. They had an original of the "Hula Apples" artwork there. |

Morning Everett,
I did two paintings last year based on the original fruit crate labels of the 1930's and 1940's. I'm preparing to do one on flyfishing, based on a Barlett Pear Label that has a 'flyfisherman' on it.
Couldn't get my wife to get up that early, but she was impressed at a couple of my purchases...

| From what I am hearing I guess I should have gone to Pomona last weekend, haven't found any good deals in a while and blew Pomona off due to predicted weather and the thieves |
