that's the way the cheapskates are
I had a 62 sunroof project with a stripped down body and a reconditioned chassis including rebuilt front end, brakes NEW trans, painted, all done etc and I got beat down for asking $1200 And I had a title |
whats sad is i have it here in mass and rusty late bugs sell for 500 and rag clips sell for 5-800. this is an og car obviously needs pans and channels so i priced it at 1500. the car has a good 36hp has all the correct 60 parts and has 4 brand new 165r15 kumhos. i don't want to cut up a good car but i'm almost at that point |

I bought my '66 last year and paid $3000 for it. its in equal condition but mine has a 1600, and has the correct emergency switch. some people have to grand of a vision of what they thin there car is worth. _________________ 1966 Beetle

HM....You seriously bought this exact car for $1500 a year ago?!?!?
You did a good job cleaning it Dude
Unfortunately YOU did all the work cleaning it and it's now worth $10.5K?!?!
I guess you really have to be mindful what people are asking these days for having conceivably done nothing
What did you sell it for after fixing it up....if I may ask? |

Sellers are asking way too much for cars here in FL. I just want a pre '67 that isn't rotted out that I can play with and make my own. _________________

Bragging aside- that car is pretty horrible. Hope you're planning on a 60% off sale. In running condition- it's $1500 car here in the NW. Maybe it's worth a little more in New England- but not factoring $1000 shipping. Anywhere else in the country- that car would and should be scalped and crushed. _________________

Thanks for the input! If you have any running driving semaphore ragtops in your area for 1500 send me the info cause I'd love to buy it! _________________ Stupidity knows no boundaries! |
