Ok, not a whine, but i'm following up on this just-locked thread:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=596219
I advertised my '64 Bug here for $8,500 this spring. Had the ad up for less than 30 days, sold it for $7,300. 200 less than I wanted to let it go for but I think i got a very good price for it, given what's out there for that year. _________________ Eventually, "we are what we pretend to be.’”

I just got a kick out of this shifter ad. It's "New Old Stock from the '60s," but thankfully, Car Custom had ESP- and made it to fit up to '72...

You mean my Nagel "Lady With Horse" print isn't going to finance my summer beach house in the Hamptons? Do I feel ripped off now! _________________ -(Loretta) Manx # M2940D910E on customized 1970 chassis by Joescoolcustoms

Holy smokes- what a Grifter! No scratches on a repainted gas door- great- and the gia emblem- fantastic. Overspray on the undercarriage (now covered in chassis black fogging)- woopee. But excellent, #1 condition? And he's been a member for a few months already. I'd evict that dirty rotten parade marshall on the grounds of being a doughhead. _________________

Haha i thought i knew a little history about vws but i never figured out they made a type two beetle . I also laugh a little that he calls the karmann emblem a "gia emblem" i bet he says it with a gee sound too. This man has to be a self proclaimed expert. I have to agree on the comment about overspray on a showroom condition vehicle. Also I bet this car's odometer has turned over a few times. _________________ Wanted: Anything from Risacher Motors VW dealership in Morristown, Tennessee or Westgate VW in St. Louis Missouri.

Hey guys im sure he worked very hard to hack up a perfectly good fat chick. He also has a nice taste of color. If I had a one of a kind like this (because no one else has made an ugly truck) i would ask way more. _________________ Wanted: Anything from Risacher Motors VW dealership in Morristown, Tennessee or Westgate VW in St. Louis Missouri.

Is that a special hub on there? I think Sport wheels usually only fit up to 73. I would ask him but according to the ad I'm not allowed . That stuff in the signature lines cracks me up. He should just write -send me the money and STFU |

Wow they put nitrogen in the tires that has to add $5,000. And that header system and electric start has to add another $6,000 easy. I sure do wish i didn't have to hand crank my 1972 Super Beetle. _________________ Wanted: Anything from Risacher Motors VW dealership in Morristown, Tennessee or Westgate VW in St. Louis Missouri.

headliner installed by drunk monkeys, a truckload of incorrect parts... "as new"? 9.900€? that's about $13.000 for a car so "fully restored" that they even managed to switch the wiper arms' sides! _________________ cars:
