Was keeping an eye on this ebay auction-- I know it's rare but still kind of surprised what it went for

Unfortunately, it just gets worse when you see his $15k '65 sunroof car. Cheapo carpet in there too. When you're in the home stretch of building/completing a nice car like either of these, it's sad to see such horrible finish detailing.

Weird ad text since there's no problem saying YouTube in an ad and even linking directly to a YouTube video...

That is really nice but $400 is crack head insane.

A super nice one like that is probably around $250 though, assuming it doesn't need to be re-greased due to age.

Used ones are much less, I think more like $150 these days.
Possibly cheaper if you act fast when new ones pop up for sale.
There are always some for sale on this site, check the classifieds.

"only $100"

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1343998

Those go in the scrap aluminum bin for recycling around here.

How is this considered "Fully welded" when every other tab isn't welded?

That's what is called a half-assed job.

Holy freaking crapolies. I don't know whether to just treat this as a joke or ask this guy where he gets his crack

Whats weird, is he has 50+ people watching it.

Oh this is gold:

Q: May I ask why your price is so low? This is easily a $80-100,000 car if it were on Barrett Jackson. I'm a little concerned about the condition of the car since you are basically giving it away.
A: i'm just feeling generous. motion cars definitely do well over a hundred grand at barrett jackson so i'm leaving some room for the next guy to make some money too! thanks for your comment, John.
