martin i used a guy right down the street from house. He charged $45 and it looks good. He wasnt to happy at how much he to keep going back and forth shaving off a little more to fit just right. After talking with Bob at the prado park show he said he gets it done for much cheaper. My guys said he didnt want to cut more pcs that it would be best if he had mirror to make an exact fit....?..... |

The guys who committed the butchery were the guys Bob recommended. _________________ I'd be UNSTOPPABLE if not for Law Enforcement and PHYSICS.

Why not? It's not like it's going to be the only unfinished ride there. Hell, it'll probably be a lot nicer than the others as well. _________________ 1963 Notchback - Ruby Red

I have few more things to do and I will have to trailer it if I do take it. I guess I'll see how the next couple of days go.

This car has come a long way from your initial post pic. Looks stunning and compared to the other cars around you and whether it sat with others square, up for debate but IMHO your car had a big presence. Congrats! _________________ MonT3

nope, red was repop only. I did have one on my OG wheel, so I know it can be made to work, but I got the button with my OG wheel |

I thought I was the only person who likes the look of late gauges -- I've been thinking about rounding up a set. Where'd you get your tach? _________________ 71 Elm Green FI A/T Squareback |

I picked up the tach a while ago here on the samba. I had one a long time ago and lost it. Yep lost when I moved or sold some stuff and mis placed the box with my gauges. They were black face also. I picked up the black tach and then traded my grey face gauges to freind for the black ones. Black looks better with orange anyhow. |
