these buses are made in china out of scrap tin cans and are really crappy!
our farmers co-op sells them with a small bottle of schnapps inside, value of bus about .50 cents, value of schnapps about .90cents.
sales price is $40...............
people do buy them as gifts for vw nuts, i 've had 2 presented to me.
there are several other models like citroen 2cv etc etc.
hope your daughter is ok. |

That poor rusted Bandai was once a nice friction car with sliding metal sunroof.
The funny thing is, I could sell toys like that all day long, because people like the look of the rusted old toys. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

There are so many of those decorative buses that I've seen large collections of them alone. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

That beetle was given to me by a friend who had just lost his young son to cancer. He said his son would have wanted me to have it.
Thanks Henry B. for the thought. RIP Jr.

signed wooden beetle just can't read the signature of the builder
pretty cool
This is another bug given to me by a 8 year old red head kid named Finn.
He said, he was to old to play with it anymore
I offered him a job
he said, he would think about it
his dad and I just cracked up _________________ '57 type 1 Blackberry

Found these at my local antiques store.
I almost bought this one just because it's creepy and weird, also it works.
Then I found this one, the tag says 1970 and its described as a power bug
Just curious as to if anyone knows anything about them, or if they're worth much of anything.orange walking clown one says made in Hong Kong, and the power bug says made in USA _________________ 1973 karmann ghia - current, not the last VW.

I've been on thesamba for a while, but recently stumbled across this sticky. Ive collected a few toys over the last 30 years, mostly older tin and die cast. i tend to avoid the newer stuff as there is just so much of it and only so much space to store and display it. Here is are some of my favorite pieces:
