does someone know where I can get a Raised White Letter Tire for my stock wide 5 bolt rims?!?!

also, I know there have been many a volume on Tires/Wheels, but what are my choices of tires on a stock rim?!?!

There are ply tires on there now 195 75 B14...I think the "B" means ply right. I am looking to go "Radial" of course!!

Why radial? They won't really help your ride that much, as the Thing suspension was designed before radial tires came into "bloom" so to speak. I'd take advantage of the ply tires for their cheap price, and decent traction. Remember, our beloved Things were never designed to be road handlers.

195/75-14 sounds more like a radial size to me -- you usually don't see the aspect ratio mentioned on bias-ply tires. You sure that's a "B"? Wink

Thanks for the replies!!
Actually, I really just want a RWL tire. IF there is a ply tire with them that would be fine.... Does anyone know a manufacturer or do you know anyone with a Thing who has stock rims and a RWL tire? I just thought, unless one is purchasing from some "Vintage Tire" shop that Ply Tires were not really available anymore?!

Can someone give me all the sizes (smaller and Bigger) that will fit a stock rim??, but not compromising the load/distribution too much to adversely affect anything...ball joints/rubbing/tie rods etc.
thanks again!!

I have P205/75R14 Cooper Discoverer Radial STT tires on my stock wheels but I'm not sure they make them anymore and they changed their website and it is now unusable but if you contact a Cooper dealer they may be able to find some for you. I also know a lot of people who run 27x8.50R14 BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A tires that are available at a lot of places including Discount Tire.

Bridgestone Duellers are also made in white letter in the same size.

Beware that you won't get a spare in that size to fit under the bonnet. You'll need one slightly smaller.
