The brake lights on my 1985 Westfalia will not work, but all the other taillights work. The brake lights are not getting any signal at the back, so it is not the bulbs. The fuses look good, and I am not sure what else to look for; I am pretty new to this. I figure there must be some kind of switch, like there is on the parking brake, that activates when I depress the brake pedal, but I have not been able to find one so far. Any ideas?

Could be the brake light switch. They can go as mine did. It is located on the brake master cylinder housing if I remember right. Check out page 47.2 in the Bentley. Might as well flush the brake fluid while you are in there. Cheers.

Worked like a charm, although I did almost drench the entire interior with brake fluid. Thanks for the help
