No, it's not. lol, ghias came with clocks!

He's got to mean $125.00, and even then he's dreaming.

Generally speaking, if you can't spell "karmen ghia" correctly then you probably have no actual real knowledge of the vehicle or its specific parts.

I'm guessing early 70's Opel gauges?

I think the last set I bought cost about that...... and even included the entire Opel!

Confirmed. If you look carefully, one of the photos of the VDO surround shows the word "OPEL" embossed in the plastic.
Already we see he can't distinguish a woman's name from a Man's surname but now we see his inability to distinguish between General Motors and Volkswagen.

That is an ABOMINATION...hideously hacked, with a description as fanciful as I've ever seen. I would say "words fail me" but you'll notice I found a few. Laughing

BTW Yes this topic can now be found in the Stickies...with a slightly modified title...i.e. "Example of Overpriced Ghias & Ghia Parts"

Was he trying to make pancakes on top of that air cleaner? What were they thinking? Those front blinkers... those tail lights... that dash... those seats... that EVERYTHING. Oh man.

Just watched the video, jeez what a mess.
Interesting that they are selling it as a '57 lowlight, I saw heater knobs from a later ghia in the cockpit, looks to me like they have just modded the nose of a later car.

No pop-outs so I would think it's a later pan on a Jul '57 at the earliest bodywork. Every instinct is to run away as fast as you can. Confused

Ouch! This was really, really horrible.

Our backyard mechanics could make better "'57" from Beetle parts than these guys could or bothered.

And $12k? Absurd.

It's got a sweet video though. That adds to the overall price quite a bit, right?

It's good to see that the prices of 60's Ghia coupes are getting up where they belong. The low-nosed cars are getting a run for their money. Wink
