Hello. I have a 67 SO42 walk thru and am in need of: sorry for my inexperience as this is my first Splitwindow Westflaia. I'm in love and plan to keep her till the end of days!! Not sure if this is appropriate so forgive. I have all kinds of Baywindow parts for trade!!
- Sink cabinet for walkthru
- cushion/seat that goes between walkthru area a sink cabinet.
- bungees for windows
- spare tire cover
- rear bed cushion cover
- jump seat pedestal or enough laminate to cover front of mine as PO hacked a double outlet in the face of mine.
- interior outlet plug and cover
- laminate to repare chips in my cabinets. _________________ Special Thanks to:

If you don't need your bus to be 1000% year period correct I would find an early bay westfalia and cannibalize it for some of the low hanging fruit you are looking for like the spare tire cover etc. 99.8% of people would be hard pressed to know the difference. The cabinetry in a bay westy is different dimensions then a split bus uses the same wood grain and the same "baby poop" vinyl (hinty hint).
To the best of my knowledge SO42's never came with a sink that is more of an SO44 thing |

Hmmm mine is a late 67 so42. It does have the hole in floor for a drain which lead me to believe it had a sink. Being a late 67 the interior power outlet is on the face of the jump seat.
Could you tell me what low lying fruit transfers? Besides tire cover. Is the wardrobe cabinet the same? Or the one behind it? Jump seat? Headbanger? Jist trying to avoid buying things I cannot use.
Keep in mind I want period correct look but it doesn't have to be so-42 cabs but a damn close match with bays would suffice _________________ Special Thanks to:

The drain was for the ice cube tray, not a sink. No sinks in any SO 42's.
Can you post a pic of your jump seat. The wardrobe/headbanger are different and require modification to fit. The jump seat will work but looks slightly different. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

the hole in the floor goes back to 1965 SO42's it is (as others have said) to drain the water from the ice block tray in the coldbox.
Unfortunately none of the early bay cabinets will work with SO42. Yes you could get a jump seat from an early bay to fit but it is the wrong dimensions as is the cold box etc. The low hanging fruit I was referring to was the baby poop vinyl which is the same on early bays as it is for So42's. Also the grey hatched counter top is the same (or very very close) on early bay's as it is for SO42's. So save some money and source up early bay vinyl, counter tops and curtains they are all the same material and save your money for the hard to find cabinetry |

The hole was also for the drain on the water tank. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

I'm looking for one veneer piece for my spice rack- '67-SO-42? It would be the rectangle that holds things on the shelf.

I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but I found the baby poop vinyl at Hancock Fabrics. It's so close in color and texture that not even the purists can tell the difference.
I'm looking for the bottom curtain rod for the rear hatch. S-curve style, 1966 SO-42 Westy. _________________

NLAVW.com makes these. Near perfect reproduction. I just bought lower rear hatch for my 67. _________________ Special Thanks to:
