368 is a 1968 Variant/ Squareback. 131363 was built in Feb. 1968.
The engine numbers jump all around on the U series injected engines, but it looks like the engine is from a 1970 unless I'm reading things wrong. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Family man
From Fresno CA. One day I will find my way home by way of Missouri, North Carolina, South Korea, Tucson Arizona (currently), Afghanistan and back to the AZ. Military life might move me again once or twice.
Owned a few T1's , '65 Baja X2, '67 Cal bug (thing rolled like it had square wheels) , '68 powder blue bug that was impounded at DMV when I tried to plate it cuz it was stolen way back in 1969 even though it was owned by a retired cop and then his buddy a retired lutenant that worked with him.
Currently I have a '68 square that I have to build with a doner '73 that has a '68 front clip welded on. Also torn between keeping the T3 duel carb engine that the POLICE says was rebuilt by a local business. I know that's BS because I've seen their work and this looks like crap in comparison or swapping in a subaru I got that was on a sand rail mounted to a vw trans already....I like both ideas just can't decide right now.
No club association as of yet.
Yup think that's about it. _________________ '68 Square |
