Stupid liquor laws? Come to Oklahoma sometime. |
That's not legal there either. |
He meant on the Res when you get your gamblin on. |
No, he meant stupid liquor laws. Oklahoma had prohibition till the 50's and until just recently you couldn't drink on voting day. The laws in OK are stupid, all of the retail beer is 3.2% alcohol by volume anything stronger is sold warm in a liquor store. _________________ http://www.sundial-camper.com |

Bart pretty much summed it up. Liquor stores are closed on Sundays, Holidays, and by 10pm. _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943) |

I grew up in Fairbanks Alaska, and now I'm in Mesa. Going from -45 to 115 degrees sucks. |

whoaw! what a minute. So im not the only one that hates living here. well if we have to live here, at least we should hand out. Lets do a run or trail sometime. I have a vw friend who owns a shop on 7th ave and missouri (phoenix) asking if i know others who want to share about their rides. Her name is Vial. She's pretty cool. Anyone know her? Lets have a meet. _________________ ...70 type 181

Two weeks ago we were 20 ACVW's deep at the weekly car show on 83rd ave just north of Union Hills (Safeway parking lot). If you're on the west side and it's still too hot to drive all the way to the pavillions that's the place to be. There's consistanly 150 cars there and like I said a strong showing of VW's lately now that things are cooling off.
Course it's supposed to storm like mad again tomorrow night... _________________ my everything hurts. |

Quartzsite- yearly rent here for full timers RV'ers is $1000. Propane is $2.70 a gal and elec is 17 cents a KW. You do the math and tell me why the old SSI geezers want to live here- OH ya IT'S A DRY HEAT. _________________ some days I get up and just sit and think. Some days I just sit.

I will take the AZ. mountains over the desert any time.
Yep it is a dry heat. Just turn your oven on to 450 wait ten minutes then stick your head in. That is the sensation you get.
I wish I had invested in skin lotion years ago. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.

I kinda like the dry heat. I visit once or twice a year for the past six or seven years. 110* dry beats the shit out of 95* and 90% humidity. Outside working on a fence in S. Fla. this morning for 10 min. and I'm soaked in sweat. |

Love the white mountains - spent a summer there babysittings a little ranchette (40 acres)- had wolves/thunderstorms/big jack rabbits/coyotes/- it was everything the desert should have but only about 90 degrees and real dry. _________________ some days I get up and just sit and think. We've done some 2% RH days recently. Supposidly it's as low as it can go. And it does make the 110* temps just so lovely and enjoyable. _________________ 71 Superbug

Amen, bro. Given a choice between the stinking desert and a malarial bog, the desert "wins." That's why I live in coastal SoCal--avoid both. |

Ya they just about washed us off the desert. Hit about 6pm yesterday. Found out where all the roof leaks now though. _________________ some days I get up and just sit and think. Some days I just sit.
