Here's my 73 1303 from Ireland. I've added Kerscher coilovers, rear Koni shocks, Porsche Cup 1 wheels, and Porsche 944 seats. At the moment it's having wider Kerscher wings (fenders/guards/arches depending on where you live) thicker front and rear anti roll bars, 75 on face-lift (indicators in bumpers) clear vision headlights fitted and some general maintenance. It's been gone quite a while but I'm hoping to have it back very soon. Should be worth the wait.

Looks like it's going to be a great car when it's done!
Are there multiple widths/offsets of the Cup 1 wheels? It seems I've seen several different "looks" on VW's and Porsche's with those wheels. _________________ "In any racing engine, the nearer you are to it disintegrating, the better it's performance will be"

Thanks a million. Yeah, they're available in 7.5" and 9.5" widths, and in et23 and et55. Mine are 7.5" et23, et55 would've fit better but didn't have much choice |

Yes, that's a great facebook group, I am following it.
There are some pictures from the Trackday at Meppen Germany.
I also visited that event to have a look. I got there a bit late, on sunday afternoon, so a lot of people were already packing up. But I still got so see some beetles race, and I saw some excellent German lookers at the carpark:

Just moved my VWs to a new home! As soon as I have taken care of some issues with the house I’m getting back started.
In the top pix I now have over 1600sqft of garage, storage, and shop space. To the left of the Thing that can’t be seen is about 450sqft. |

In the last week of Feb 2020 I made the wise (ha!) decision to buy a 1968 Cal-Look Beetle, figuring it would be a good base for my next project. I bought it sight unseen, while I was on the east coast of the USA. Before I could return home, the Covid-19 pandemic had begun, and lockdown had hit...fortunately I managed to get the car in March.
The Cal-Looker was sold without engine or trans, and flat-four fuchs with standard beetle disc brakes and modified rotors. Tore the whole thing down - No interior, no front suspension, no rear suspension, and started from scratch. But yes, I cheated, I skipped the whole "rust repair & paint" stage while building this German Looker.
Since it was a "Covid Build", budget required stealing as many parts as I could from another beetle project I have, so I went "shopping" in the collection of Porsche bits I'd accumulated for my curved-window super.
Two months of shop time later, and I rolled out my new German Looker. It's got a complete Porsche 944 rear suspension, mix of Boxster, 911 and 944 Turbo brakes, Carbon goodies, 2110cc motor, 17x7 Porsche Twists, 911 front seats and various other modifications.
I managed to put somewhere 32,400km on the car this summer, mostly in August and September. Three trips from Vancouver to Calgary, and I used it for all of our smaller Classic Car Adventures tours that we were able to run in the fall.
The paint isn't nearly what I was told it was by the seller. It looks excellent in photos, and from 5+ feet away...but being red you have to polish it daily for it to keep looking amazing. I'd love to repaint it, but it's just not realistic until work returns to normal. My only other budget-saving choice was to use a 4spd stock transmission from a '73 Beetle. I didn't want to take the time to do a 5spd Porsche install, and a Berg 5-spd wasn't in the budget!
