i just picked up this 59 ragtop beetle and there doesn't seem to be too many mignonette green beetles out there, especially ragtops.
please post pics of mignonette green beetles- interior, exterior, apart, original, restored or returning to earth!

Is it just me or are the original car and the above car different colors. The one above looks more agave to me.
Could be the monitors/cameras though. |

looks like a different color. Uzi's looks more mango-ish. No doubt cool color, crazy name though. _________________ It's not how wide your hatch is, it's what you do with it.

i just googled "mignonette" and it is a flower. it's also known as "reseda" which i have heard of "reseda green" in split beetles but it's listed in the archives as "pastel green" on early cars.

not sure, i've been working away on it this past week. i was gonna fix it up, enjoy it and eventually sell it. that was before it arrived. right now i'm digging it too much to think about getting rid of it. i'll probably drive it back and forth to work a few times before i head out on a trip or two to shows in the spring. i have another secret project in the works so it's gonna be a diffifult spring for me deciding which to drive... _________________ Extravagant Lifestyle

mine is an old respray but the color looks pretty good where the paint is scratched thru. i'm gonna go so far as to say it might be a dealer respray because the paint feels like OG paint when i slide my fingers down it. under the taillight seals was really yellowed from the rubber. _________________ Extravagant Lifestyle

L14 was called Reseda when it was used on 1952-early 53 convertibles. It was brought back for sedans in 1959 and renamed Mignonette, then never used again.
This is already one of my favorite threads already, my '59 was originally this color. I've looked up various cars and it's a strange color and can look like 10 different colors depending on the lighting.
My dash is the only part of my car that's still L14 unfortunately.

This is a resto, but holy crap I love this car. '59 Standard Sunroof Beetle, special ordered in L14.
Look at the difference in the color in different lighting.

That color would look really good on a 59 single cab. _________________ nothing |
