SFGate is running an AP story about the risk of death in a car:

http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2007/01/18/national/a152832S32.DTL

The big news is that men or more likely to die in a wreck than women, but the best part of the story:

Quote:
As for men being more likely to die than women? McCartt and Fischbeck said men take more risks, speed more, drink and drive more.

"They do stupider things," said Fischbeck, a former military pilot who has twin toddlers and a "totally unsafe" 1974 Volkswagen Thing.

Well, if men speed more, then he's driving the right auto. Can't speed too much in a Thing.
