Tonight I am going to try and lay-out the fuel lines, pressure regulator and such in the engine bay.
Even after that all happens, I still need to install the fuel pump, and fit a return line on the car.
I guess, as always, the target is spring and hopefully I will get lots of shop/garage time on the Christ's Mass break.

Type 3 manifolds, throttle bodies, fuel pressure reg all mocked up. I need to shorten my hex bar a bit though.

Well,
I am moving ever closer to a single Type 3. I have decided to pull the 2332 out of the speedster, convert it to type 3 cooling and stuff it in the the notch. While it is in there, the 2110 will get a complete overhaul and then parked as a back up engine.
My goal of making the speedster a track car has gone away, as I just can't swing it financially, and I will concentrate on one car for now.
I'm sure this is the best thing, in the long run, but it still stings a bit to do.

So, this week I will continue to prep the car for the EFI components, pull the 2110 and start working on making the 2332 a type 3 layout. Then, hopefully during Christmas break I can put the 2332 into the car with the EFI and start connecting everything up.

I promise, before I die, this project will be finished! Really!!! I prom-SQUIRREL!

I did a final burn out in the car today when I had to turn it around and back it into the garage. Now that that is happened the car is in a position for the 2110 to come out, and the 2332 to go in.
Perhapsthe pull will happen saturday? Then, next up is making space in the garage for the 2110 to sit until it goes on the stand for a rebuild.
I also am working on an idea for fitting the turbo with the EFI under the stock lid, but I'm not sure if that will work unless I go to a single TB.

Single or dual throttle bodies shouldn't affect the space - you just build a chamber connecting the throttle bodies with boost pipe feeding them from centre
Your biggest issue is getting turbo fitting. I found you need a very small turbo which isn't ideal for larger displacement.

Don't worry about keeping your engine under the engine lid in a notch/fasty!

I'm not worried. But I like the challenge.

I have to rent a cherry picker to get the 2332 out of the pink car. Then, I will start prepping it for the POC and a type 3 cooling system.

Normally, it just takes me + 3 buddies... but I don't have any buddies. Laughing

My 2110... and lots of oil consumption, lose, dripping.

I have all the engine tins now to convert the 2332 to type 3 cooling. Looks like I need to get a step stud for the oil cooler and make an extension for the type 1 dipstick. I can fill the engine oil thought the CB Performance breather.

But first... Repaint all the tins.

Or drill out the type 3 oil cooler, and use a longer 8mm stud in that spot.
That's what I did on the engine I used to have in my Notch (converted t-1), along with the 1 that's currently in it (all aluminum universal case). No big deal, as that spot isn't anywhere near any oil passages. Very Happy

Hey, I like simple. Very Happy

But, if you like complicated, see if Tram has a conversion stud for you.

Sure, Fye, bring me a late Notchback and I'll fix you right up!

I brought the car to life (still on the DCNF carbs) last evening after a long slumber. I will be driving it Saturday for local car club member's memorial service. We were asked to bring our cars for a cruise in his honor. After that run, the turbo will be installed and hopefully by the May TnT events, I can make a pass.

After driving my truck for such a long time, the car feels tiny and nimble!
