I own this VDM steering wheel!
I bought it in Holland 15 years ago for only 50€uro! (2000 Belgian Francs)
Last year I saw at Volksworldshow the same used VDM steering wheel for sale but the center was diffrent as mine so I'm sure there are 2 models!
That one who was for sale had no colour anymore on the horpushbutton.
I could have it for 1000€
A shame that I didn't took a picture of it.
This is a great steering wheel to drive and unbelievable comfortable!
I will bring my car to Bad Camberg next june but maybe next year will the steeringwheel change from car.......

Just installed the VDM repro on the bus:

Most of the bus folks opted for the banjo repro, I prefered go with that one.
Its color fit with the color of the bus.

I just noticed something, these steering wheels don't have the turn signal self canceling tab like stock ones? Is this right?

No, they got the 3 holes then you can remove the turn signal self canceling from the original steering wheel and put it on the VDM steering wheel.

That`s what I did and it works well.

Ah ok, for beetle I do not know.
For bus they sell a specific adaptor that fit with the steering wheel column.

Just wondering if anyone knows who is selling these reproduction steering wheels now? cip1.ca and .com do not list it online anymore. I did n to think that a reproduction could become rare, but these seem to be going that way.

Gordo.
