the price is high but the amount of detail on that car is ridicules
you would be hard pressed to duplicate it for that price

Ever heard of Grundy Classic Car Insurance? They'll easily cover that car for an agreed value of $120k

Yes and doubtful. The key word here is "agreed".

I'm not familiar with Grundy's process but I know Hagerty has to get back to you if the value doesn't line up with their tables of values.

For the right amount, Lloyds of London will insure anything.

Doesn't make the car worth that amount though......

If you are only after value, no. If you want some fun, hell yes.

I dont think it would have been as much fun with paint on it though.

As I do too.

But show me a restored chassis rolling, a restored body, a nice paint job, lots of parts to sell for that price. And be a oval body.

The fun comes when you take it to a car show and isten to the stock nazi's bitch. I know that fun feeling too.

No title
Floor pans, Heater channel, need replacement
Missing Bullet Fenders
Wrong Interior
Wrong engine, and likely needing a rebuild

I think 4K is too high, to be fair.

I agree... beautiful car, high level of detail... but let's face it, when building a custom car, it's a much tougher sell to recoup money due to varied tastes out there.

I agree. The word for a guy who would pay $4K for that car, with no title, to boot, is "DERP." Laughing

That might be a $1,595 car AT BEST... lol. It reminds me of the typical run of the mill custom VW done by an American muscle guy that has no clue of style in the VW realm. It looks like the fenders have been welded/molded in... always a good choice. lol. For $16K, I would expect a better steering wheel than that $20 K-Mart special...
