To be completely fair... Blackdog aka Corey is no where NEAR as high as 1/2 of the people who put ads on here. He is a very good seller who routinely finds pretty rare stuff and his numbers are generally a starting point. I've never not been able to work out a deal on a part he's offered. Now I agree that this car is a little steep at 9500.00, I have a '55 3-Fold that is complete and if this is worth 9500.00, mine is worth 20,000.00.. (which it isn't). Still I'm more than sure this is a starting number for him and if you were truly interested you would make an offer.
Corey is an honest seller with good stuff and occasionally amazing prices. Nothing says you can't make an offer. Treat The Samba classifieds like you would the swap meet at BoR.... Never hurts to ask...."would you take 15.00 bucks for that?" _________________ DB

....I agree, Corey is an OK guy, I actually bought a part from him and see him at swaps alot, I just think his recent prices are too far out there! I also have hughseum on my ignore list for this same reason. Hugh may also be an OK guy, but ........ _________________ '59 Euro convertible--'56 type 2 double door panel w/Chick Iverson logo-....2 wrongs don't make a right, but 3 lefts do! |

I dont have him on an ignore list, that was linked to me for some reason.
But anyway, the $9500 oval is worth about $2800 when all the planets line up and the moon is almost full.
Yeah rags are more valuable, but not until the work is done, until then is just another project sitting beside the house collecting rain.
Again, if someone can prove to me that ovals are a rare breed, then I will ad another $1000 to the value of this project. _________________ 55 Oval |

Look at the picture where the disk brakes are being shown. It looks smashed in to me. It may just be the angle or the picture. |

Forward of the brake. Maybe I'm just picky but for 17 grand I would think any and all damage would have been fixed. |

bdub. if there was damage, I would of mentioned it. I am like the next guy here on Thesamba. this is the one place where you don't have to try to sell a car that has hidden "lemon lot" issues. I have sold 5 cars through here "Appreciate the site Everett B" and every one of my ads I try to put as much info as I can. you have the right to your opinion and I respect that, but I know what I have and the work put into my cars!!! thanks for your thoughts.. Take a look at my galley, I believe I know how to build them!!!

The pic of the speedo was taken when it was at 31k. Why would I lie about original paint? IT IS ORIGINAL PAINT!!!! |
Trust me, this car is as original as it gets. Even has the original tires. It really should be in a museum, or in my garage where it would be more appreciated than with it's current owner who recklessly enjoys it and risks ruining one of the most original ovals on the planet |
I am trying to talk Mark Merrill into adding it to his collection. I think it would be perfect there because I could visit it during his pre Kelley Park open house AND maybe get to drive it to the Kelley Park show!!!

Anyone checked this out? He had it on Samba a while back, maybe 3 months ago. It's obviously not for the stock advocate. Looks like a fun custom project, for those who like the slammed goodies.

I'd never buy a slammed car, not to mention a car with a narrowed beam.
Very, very ugly.
For 17.5 K I'd buy something better. _________________ a beetle is like a cocker spaniel, always funny but sometimes not listening |
