Nope...you didn't miss anything. He lists stuff for sale on here too, some are average priced....others, are like those tail lights. Weird |

"premier quality German OEM parts"
Funny I don't recall OEM German bumpers having those nasty rubber space taker uppers for the ill fitting towel bars _________________ Rick

"Professionally restored to concourse condition a year ago" !!
It's not restored in the correct sense and it CERTAINLY isn't a concours, restoration, it's a resto-custom.
Also, there's rust, paint chips, lumps, bumps and dents ( look at that spare wheel well and trunk!!) and so much wrong with the colors and interior!
But hey, it's ONLY $14,200!

Jesus H Keerist on jet powered pogo stick! I was sqealing when I paid $700 for a cherry set.
And on that note, I am desperate for a full set of seats for my 53 and the kaefer guys have some in the classifieds. I'm afraid if I wait for a better deal I'll end up never finding anything, geez $2850 seems steep. Supply and demand I guess.
edit: Never mind, If it works out, I found a way better deal |

You forgot to add that it pops out of 3rd gear, the exhaust cutouts were filled in, it's had extensive metal repair done and we don't know if it was done right, and still wants $15,000? lol
How about this one? DREAMER!

"This car is far beyond that of your typical amateur restored beetle", whatever you say, buddy. lol The paint may be decent, but an entirely wrong interior, wrong rear fenders, white instead of grey gas tank, inspection plates painted the same color as the car instead of black, single colored wheels instead of two-tone, and horribly done engine with the orange painted parts is NOT far beyond a typical amateur restoration, it IS an amateur restoration!!!

Looks like a Chevy guy restored that one, ran out of rattle can black paint on the fanshroud, said "Fuck it", and painted the rest of the engine Chevy Orange. Body and paint looks to be nice though... |

That's the ONLY part that looks nice, the rest looks like they just got lazy and cheap. |
