it's listed as a 356 but I've never seen one before. Is it or just hoax info to get more $$? It does have a Petri logo and a dragon horn button (pictured elsewhere but not in the below picts)

Doesn't look like any I've seen. Maybe a Mercedes or DKW? Post the link to the 356 registry talk group. They will know for sure.

I searched through my gallery and looks like the hornring is identical to an NSU. So I tried to find an NSU steering wheel and looks very similar to the one for sale. So my guess it's an NSU wheel with inaccurate selling description Rolling Eyes Pict of NSU wheel on bottom left. I emailed the seller, will he change the description, probably not...

I agree................but you think he would have got the description correct. It's not VW or Porsche. Even the horn button, which is not part of the deal, is deceptive. He obviously knows how to work the system for a "first time" user, doesn't he. Rolling Eyes

The "Petri dragon horn button" that goes with the wheel looks more than a little bit like the Peugeot logo.

It's back on auction. I guess the highest bidder of the original auction backed out. Maybe because someone Wink emailed him saying it's not a VW and the auction's mis-represented. I never got an email back from the seller from the 1st auction before it ended, so I emailed him again but not holding my breathe still
