I wish I had them ready to sell IF I take this project on, it's going to be a big investment in time and money...I have to go down to the shop in 2 weeks and start talking with several rubber products manufacturers and see what it's going to cost me to make the dies...those are BIG dies that require a BIG press....we'll see how it goes...stay tuned... _________________ that's not patina, that's fucking rust man!!!!

Gerson, based on info I've got from Fuentes back when this was started , 7-8 years ago it sounded pretty much that it was not happening partly due to little interest and mostly because making of the single dies for a one piece mat would just be cost prohibitive. Cost per mat would be so high nobody would probably buy them.
If you have resources I would say do it! I have never heard any other options since this was started. _________________ www.thebustransfer.com

I have been looking for BD mats for about 4 years now...the few that come up for sale cost BIG cash, and they sell quick.....I think Dave was having his made in Bolivia, I recall seeing pictures of the die and the press that was being used...I think I spoke with Dave about these years back, but there were just not enough numbers to justify the investment.....I think this might be doable, business wise...at the end of the day it will be determined by the same old formula...cost of making the dies and bringing the product to market VS. how many can potentially be sold..... _________________ that's not patina, that's fucking rust man!!!!

Since a die was previously made maybe it can be purchased. I'm sure whoever has it wouldn't mind recouping some of their investment. _________________ 58 Coral Red ragtop(Diana's car)

I'd be in for a front and rear mat if you make RHD versions. _________________ ( ⫏ ⫐ )

i think 52 had the thin style and changed at 53,my 53 truck has the regular style vs my 52 had pieces of the early style. so orchard supply will work for a 52 front floor mat!lol,,, |

This is true for the front.
I think he might have been asking about the rear?
I think the '53 rear is generally the same as 54-55 but I cannot say with certainty.
I have seen the 54-55 style cargo mat in a '53 but I am not sure it was original or if it is 100% exactly the same. (Or if 100% the same even matters)
RockStock posted above the rear is the same for 52-55. _________________ How to Post Photos
