Good stuff, cugir. The procedures in the Bentley book and others made no sense to me (especially the math, I'm only a math minor ), but watching it being done cleared it all up. Thanks for taking the time!

You are a king for creating these videos. I did the front and rear of my squareback about a week ago.
2 notches in the front and one in the rear.
Now I'm just wondering if it's safe to cut those rubber stop brackets off the front end. The ones between the upper and lower control arm. |

You can pull them off. They are pressed onto a mushroom looking thingy. And Thanx cugir for the vids! I went 3 in the front and 2 in the rear and the ride is good. I used shocks for a '79 to '85 Buick Riviera and changed the bushings to fit. $17 lowered shocks, gotta love that! _________________ '63 Caravelle Camper

That was the best tech video I've seen since the Bug-me one for installing wiring harnesses--and you've made yours free to the public. You've done a service to the VW community with this--I just lowered the rear of my T3 today, but the front had me a little confused. I am planning to lower the front tomorrow and was just checking thesamba to see if there was something helpful available. I didn't expect something this nice! I saw your videos in the nick of time and there's no doubt you've saved me an hour or more and a hell of a lot of cussing. Cheers to you! |

Thanks for this posting. Helped me drop my 73 square 3 in the front and 2 in the back. Looks like smaller tires are my next purchase. |
