Funny the driver tries to grab the passenger door before the woman slams it with the cargo door, still nicked it(ouch!) Kool door panels but no panel on the long wall.

Hi Gerald,

I´m not sure: Maybe the blue metallic and the red coloured 1950 bus from the film are one and the same? When you closely look at the blue metallic one you see a quick spray over inside and out and bodged sills (and tires painted in glossy black ...)
To keep production costs down this could have been just a cheap piece of stage property?
The colour composition of the cars standing in front of the petrol station looks quite arranged to my eyes and the red bus is the big red and absolutely necessary colour spot!
The number plate "KB" (Kommandantura Berlin) is an early version with cut upper edges.
But I´m far more interested in the cream-coloured rare Krauss-Maffei bus in the background ...

...just CHECK this LINK !! even a "CERTAIN" Brendan (???) is in this documentary !! it's a FRENCH documentary, but as some of you certainly speak it, 'pas de problèmes' !!!

LOOK at 04.53 and see the BARNDOOR from the D'Ieteren Africa-book (1951 book, bus is a '50 I think) in action!!

the 'certain' Brendan is right after it, at 05.40... some more known Californian people are also in it, like Charlie, Lenny, Chris.... check it yourself, GOOD old '50's stuff too, from Wolfsburg, but also a lot on people travelling in BUSSES !!

Yet another suicide quarter light on the bus at the very beginning. It really seems that factory suicide quarters were not very uncommon. I bet many have been 'restored' back as collectors thought it was a hack.
