One more...keeps playing with thesamba members...is legal? but not ethical...makes me remember someone with no word... not trusthful, i don't know if this is best place, but since i was not buying anything the only feedback I can give is the way of selling the parts and trying to fool with lowering and raising prices as the hour or the moon changes, well he is clearly playing, I think there should be some rules on this, I dont have to reply a guy for an item then he decides to change it to higher just like that... i have some time to write the seller but others my not have and would feel fooled. Read before post...
I have seen put higher price to sell then low it, i made it already but that is great for who buy...but inverse is always specially when there is no answer during 12 hours then suddently comes a new price as reply, here are the pictures...25 euros was the price then raised to 120usd...the same was made with other item, i am sure more people saw this, i reply to buy the item for the price he posted 25 then i received the answer in the other day telling is 88 euros...wtf...i replyed for a price item which was not that one, is annoying...
This was not a mistake price, since he made the same with other item, i am just disembosom and trying to alert others.
Maybe for some this is normal but for me... is not, a mistake we can say ok it was a mistake but in this case particulary is not about mistaken, is trying to fool waiting answers then give prices which were not the ones he first put to sell...

I completely agree, Dealing with sellers in Belgium/France and occasionally Germany you can bet they think of a price and double it and treble with shipping. `There are several sellers who think that Old or NOS means they can charge what they like.
I wonder if the word sensible translates to these sellers? who no doubt will be stuck with some very expensive parts for some time. _________________ 1973 1303 RHD Vert Project

I don't know if this is the situation but it sounds like he listed it for 25, got a lot of emails, and realized it was too cheap.
So he raised the price and/or tried to compensate by inflating the shipping charges.
This is bad business.
Now you know not to deal with this particular seller.
There is no way to enforce a rule that the person must sell something for their original price. _________________ How to Post Photos

Yep i think it was that, but that is not from someone who is honest, i think he wouldn't get rich with some more bucks, but he lost much...the "word" and "shake hand for a deal" somethimes doesn't have price, is a matter to be in the life.

For sure, why ask to buy something if the price he asks is not the one he will sell.

True, i know there isn't a way to control this and enforce a rule, i really know and just said since i was dissapointed with this kind of sellers, well at least this one is in my black list as a bad seller from today
First I only thought he was smoking something special with that high forbidden prices... but now... i am sure is not only that.

I understand your complaint and agree it is better to have an extensive selection of pics of any car for sale, with nothing interfering with the viewing of all sides. _________________ How to Post Photos

when an ad says "make me a realistic offer", the seller must know what they'd take, why not put a price on it? Make it and say or offers... at least you know what the ballpark price is. Not every buyer is knowledgeable about every part, and its value and may not want to waste the sellers time, yet could be the buyer for THAT part?
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1575239
or does that normally mean, I don't really want to sell it, but would for a higher than what its worth. Not picking on Mark, but I see these "tell me what its worth to you" type ads and they seem like a game. |
