the decklid has something very cool and unique going on with it. love the use of beetle fenders for the fender flares. it's a purebred.

That's in BANGOR ?! Bangor is 20 minutes from me. Oh, and the joke around here is "Bangor ? I don't even know her !!" Or some variation of that.

Took me a while to find the palm tree.
It's a very small phallic palm tree.

small is relative. i'd say it's proportionate and anatomically correct. no surprises or disappointments.

While I realize that this is not a split window bus.....
I believe you all would be able to appreciate my new car.
I rescued it after a 14 year slumber.
The PO had passed away in the midst of doing some work and it simply sat.
I saw it and had to have it.
Now it is at my house waiting for the resurection!

Behold my new '70 Square....

that's a fabulous squareback and i'm sure we all agree that it strokes a chord with our inner vanner. the color is straight off the Jersey LQQKER color chart.

good score. and while the owner didn't convert it to a panel, he did give it purple window tint. you probably can't see what's going on in back at night. 10 points.

I think we are going to need photos of the front and rear bumpers. To be put on file in the SPVC library.

Paint the mural on the roof. That way your vannin' buddies can check it out at the stop light since they'll be ridin' high above.

Mmmm Mural....
I had not even thought of that...
Perhaps some lace work and trick fades as well.

Thank you.
The purple tint is bitchin, I am up in the air as to remove it or not at this point. I may wait until I have the ability to re paint it.

Well the front bumper is simply the factory support bar from what I have read.

And the rear bumpers are a set of hacked in T bars...

Those will be coming off eventually as they suck.

Mmmm geeez that is a sexy thought.
Perhaps the St. Pauli Girl the full length of the roof...

Or better yet this...
Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Polar bear and all.

Damn now my thoughts are flowing.
I need to go home and crank up the Journey and get to work...

One of my car club buddies asked this...
"What are you going to do with it? I was thinking shag carpet in that squareback"

To which I replied....
"Change that to a mean nasty Trans Am style racer from the late 60's....
You will be much closer.

I want the engine to sound nervous at idle...
Like a dog you know better than to try and pet."

I have a well built 2332 to go into it as soon as I can get a universal case modified to fit the stroker crank and pistons. The Prostreet trasmission will come out of my bug and go into the square. Then it is game on!

Have a swell day, Yo! Twisted Evil

My restored Jersey Looker out on the trails last weekend.
Yes, I actually paid to preserve the cut wheel wells.

The driver's dogleg was completely replaced after cutting the new metal to replicate the former wheel-clearing glory.
