That thing would look really cool driving through the fog at night with a bright shop light on in the cargo area... |

Maybe you could install a bunch of green cold cathodes so you can see the green glow through the holes, then slap a few radiation symbols on it. _________________ 1971 Autostick SB

Thanks for all the comments you guys, really though, credit for this project needs to be shared. Christopher Moore is donating the bulk of the parts to bring her back to life, Gene Cornelious and his wife actually get the credit for finding the bus (and that's a major story in itself), and I'm the extraction expert and madman with all the tools, the trailer, and the insanity to pull the whole deal together. Inside a week I had a front end under it, a new transaxle and a new steering box in it. I left with her proudly standing up on her feet again for the first time in a long time. Last week I flew back up to Christopher's again and put in 90% of the brake system. Most of the parts are coming from a sad '65 Christopher has that was rolled, and was willing to sacrifice it's life for the much more feminine, beautiful, socially acceptable and dignified 21 LOL! Pardon the absence of the decklid, I know, it's akin to looking up a womans skirt without her knowing it (I did that to my 2nd grade teacher I had a crush on... and got away with it!) Being that it's missing, We're looking to find one and shoot the shit out of it so it will match... but it's got to be the proper Seablau to match. If you're a redneck, or aspiring to be one, and have guns AND a worthy Seablau decklid for the project, please, by all means, contribute to the project! To match the rear hatch, we need at least 150 rounds through it without deforming it too badly. Preferably from multiple calibers to include shotgun buckshot and slugs. Wait til' you see the rear hatch... it alone has over 250 rounds through it! More to come. Mr. Noble, I know you said you have one in Seablau, but there may be one closer than Washington... course I could fly up there and get it...

I remember in the late 80's, when I was teaching Middle School on the south side of Pomona, CA (24 known street gangs in a 2 square mile area). The neighbor of one of my students had a fixed up 23 window bus. The neighbor made the mistake of getting into a "difference of opinion" with a gang member. The guy's bus was "totaled" by a mac-10...2500 rounds. |
2500 rounds. 32 round magazine. 79 mags of ammo, assuming that the gang-banger hit the bus with every shot.
He must have had some friends along as ammo bearers... |

When my red corner window was stuck up in the woods last November I was worried it'd end up full of bullet holes like this.
Then again, it was raining like crazy... not the best weather for a nice afternoon of target practice.
I have a color correct rear hatch for that, except a couple of the maple valley buses are rear hatch-less, so I'd like to hang it on one of them, even though the color isn't right. If you are flying up, bring a list of stuff you need, we've got a lot of small stuff I don't even want to bother listing on the samba, but are useful when putting a bus back together.

I don't have any parts to help, but I have a few guns of various calibers and lots of ammo! We just need someplace to er, work, so to speak! _________________
