Fellow Westy owners,
Has anyone found a stock looking pop top seal (small top) that is on the market or being reproduced? Seems to me one of our fellow members was trying to manufacture one. Any info would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Bill |

Thanks easy e,
I am new to the forum and really just trying to figure how this all works...not the most computer savy guy out there. I did read that thread but could not determine if anyone had actually produced one that is available on the market. I want to stay away from the after market seals that don't look like the original if possible.

Yeah... there's a basket of us that feel the same way as you about the seal. Limited options... none great... one half-way close.
Cheers,

easy e,
Ok...I looked at the post more closely and saw the link to Steele Rubber products. Guess I missed that earlier! What do you and other members think about their product? It actually looks pretty good.

Steele Rubber Products are top of the line products. Someone ought to see if they would make a repro. |

I will contact them today and show them this thread, I bought 2 from WW and they are useless. I must remember the saying "pay once cry once" LOL.
I can't get the dimensions right now therefore does anyone have them?

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

I'm about to order a seal by-the-foot (I'm guessing about 16-17 feet long?), and need to know how much to order. My pop-top is out in Phoenix right now so I can't measure the rubber length. Could someone with a SO42 pop-top please measure and report the length of rubber down to the inch and post here in this thread for everyone, and to me at [email protected] ? Thanks for the measurement Gents/Gals... I gotta make the phone call...
