bought some bumper guards from Melissa and they where as advertised, o g vw. she shipped them to me in Hawaii. mahalo (thank you in Hawaiian) Melissa.

Another happy customer.
I did a foolhardy thing and paid Ilo and Melissa $400 for a big piece of bus metal I hadn't seen.... I picked it up today and it is just what I needed. Ilo cut the piece in intelligent places that will make it pretty straightforward to install. I recommend these guys and will do business with them in future. |

The Ad was listed for 72 Early Super Beetle Hood for Straight Axle Suspension.
Year, Description, Picture all provided in the ad is accurate.
In the Volkswagen of America Offical Service Manual it says 1971 up is Super Beetle.
Apparently the customer did not know there were various options in the Super Beetle, and did not ask before buying. Macpherson Strut Super Beetle was not standardized until 1976.
We did offer to exchange the hood for the correct hood that he needed, after I provided the buyer info from VWofA, he did not write back. |

Uh, ALL Super Beetles had McPherson Strut suspension, even the '71 and '72s with their flat windshields. If you listed it as a Super hood, then you were wrong if it came off a car with a beam front axle.
It sounds like it is you that may be misinformed. |

Beetle or Super Beetle Hood.... I still did write in the description that it was for a Straight Axle Bug.
I wish if the buyer had any descrepancies that he would of brought them up before he purchased. |

I'm sure that the buyer wishes you had brought up the "descrepancies" as well. If something is /was wrong in the transaction... then make it right. So, after purchase, "all sales final"...?
