This guy Danny needs to give people their money back when parts never got sent.Tried calling this guy and played phone tag with him for few weeks, then the guy calls and has the balls to try to bitch me out for his mistake and take my $250. Tell you what, I would never look or buy anything from this guy again. So vw people out there watch out for this guy.
The time line was about the last two weeks 3/27/10 to 4/7/10

Well Mike good for you. I wished it would have been the same way with me. Danny should be a stand up guy and send my money back. |

| Parts where shipped today by Fed Ex. You forgot to mention that you asked for parts on 3/28/10 and didn't send the money till 4/5/10. That was just a few days ago. What you wanted me to ship parts before you paid. Sorry it doesn't work that way |

| I have had Danny contact me to let me know about wiper parts he had. Offered me a great deal and I could not come up with the funds in time. So he took them to the swap meet. No problem you snooze you loose. I was honored he offered them to me. Danny has helped a few of us with hard to find parts. I have purchased a few NOS parts and they are as described. You can purchase with confidance from him. DL West |

| Danny did what he said he would do, shipped a difficult item securely and timely, phoned when he had a question before shipping. Good experience. |

Just received a part from Danny. Part was shipped promptly, well packaged and a fair price. Also exactly as described by Danny. I would with out a doubt purchase parts form Danny in the future. I find some of the negative feed back crazy and very hard to believe. Buyers need to realize that the world doesn't revolve around them and their hard to find part. Granted sellers are in the business to sell parts and provide good customers service but are surely overwhelmed by emails, phone calls and private messages. Overall this is a great system that isn't perfect but life isn't easy and never will be, especially when you own a 87 VW Syncro.

All emails and phone calls returned, the only delay in shipping was due to finding a box to ship Westy tables. Packaged very well and was emailed when items were shipped. Thanks, Danny. _________________ 86 Syncro Westy

DannyZ took my money, and didn't ship the parts for months.
Only when i bitched about it here, did he send them.
They were not as described, the glovebox had a hole in it.
The "NOS" fuel gauge was actually used, and a different year than pictured/described in his ad.
Because he wouldn't send me a refund,
i (stupidly) took the bait to send him the wrong parts in exchange for others he had for sale.
Then i made another big mistake by forgetting to get the delivery confirmation.
So, like you can guess, he claimed to never have gotten them...
Now, you can believe all these 1 and 2-post 'singers' on here if you want,
but consider this;
The guy has no e-bay capabilities.
Because e-bay has a big, up-front policy of buyer/seller feedback,
a guy like Danny Zepeda could never survive there.
Also consider this:
Like those beggars you see in Tijuana,
Danny Z hides behind his kids.
Because he surely lost any chance of using PayPal long ago,
due to all of the claims made against him,
he uses his "kid's" PayPal address.
This is a really good tactic for those of us who are parents especially.
Who wants to punish a kid for having a crooked parent?
I'm sure his life is already bad enough with Danny as a dad.
Danny Z is your typical unscrupulous junk man.
Yeah, i am sure he is sitting on a whole goldmine of parts,
And of course he makes sure to take care of people like Lenny Copp.
Maybe you have lucked out and had him take care of you.
(and it made you so glad you posted _twice_ on the Samba)
If you are considering dealing with him,
Give him a call and listen to his answering machine.
That is all you are likely to ever get, anyways.
You can tell by his tone,
And how he conducts himself. _________________ Type 5 Joe Wrote:

| I bought some door handles from Mr. Zepeda. I sent payment June 21, the box is post marked June 30. Not fast, not slow, and I would not be hesitant to buy again from him. |

Have to say on each occasion i have had dealings with Danny he has always been good on the contact, items were perfectly as described, well packaged and also spot on in terms of shipping charges. He has now helped me out 6 times over the last couple of years in tracking down parts and shipping them to me in England. Quick dispatch/delivery and personnally speaking nothing but excellent service. |
